Fr. Nowicki grew up in Athens, Wisconsin. He attended Athens High School, followed by the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, majoring in civil engineering. After a profound conversion experience, he began following Christ intentionally to discern how the Lord was calling him to holiness. He graduated from UW-Platteville and entered Mundelein Seminary in Chicago to discern a vocation to the priesthood and study philosophical aesthetics.
For theology studies, he attended the Pontifical North American College in Rome, with a passion for liturgy, church history, and the spiritual life. After his ordination to the priesthood in the summer of 2024, Fr. Nowicki was assigned as parochial vicar of Holy Ghost, Notre Dame, and St. Bridget Parishes in Chippewa Falls. In July, he will be assigned to St. Charles and St. Peter Parishes in addition to retaining his previous assignments at the other three parishes.
Fr. Nowicki enjoys creating music, running, hiking, and biking. “I am looking forward to getting to know you all and to helping the students of Regis grow as disciples of Jesus,” Fr. Nowicki said.
Fr. Levi Schmitt, our current Chaplain at Regis Middle School and Regis High School, has been appointed Parochial Administrator of St. Joseph’s Parish in Prescott, effective July 1.
Please keep both Fr. Schmitt and Fr. Nowicki in your prayers as they make their transitions.
