Parent Resources

Please visit our main school page for school supply lists and Dress code information.

Throughout the school year, we receive many generous donations to  provide for students in need (school supplies, Christmas gifts, uniforms, etc.) If your family is in need of occasional assistance at any time throughout the year, please contact our school office to be added to our confidential list of potential recipients for donations.

School Procedures for the 2021-2022 School Year

Arrival

Morning drop off begins at 8:15am. School begins at 8:30am. Parents may drop their children off using the drop off lane in the Highland Ave. parking lot. Parents will also have the option to park and walk their children into school using Door 6 on Mondays, and Door 5 Tuesday-Friday. Students will report to the cafeteria for morning meeting each Monday morning. Every other day, students should report directly to their classrooms. Parents are asked not to remain in hallways or classrooms after the starting bell at 8:30.

Dismissal

Afternoon pick up begins at 3:15pm. Students will not be dismissed until 3:30 pm. Parents should park in the Highland Ave. parking lot and report to the gym. Classes will be brought to the gym for pick up and buses. Please do not go to your child’s classroom for pick up.

Masks

Masks will be optional for all students and staff. We encourage all those that are able to be vaccinated. Those who are unvaccinated are strongly encouraged to wear a mask. All elementary students should bring at least one mask to school with them and keep it in a ziplock bag in their locker, in the event that students should need one.  Please note that should we experience a spike in the level of COVID-19 in our community, this policy may change in accordance with local guidance.

Lunch/ Recess

Students will eat lunch in the cafeteria and will be seated by grade level. Grades K-2 will eat from 11:50-12:20. Grades 3-5 will eat from 12:20-12:40. Noon recesses will be opposite the assigned lunch time. Students will not be separated by grade level at recesses.

Mass

Masses will be held as an entire school on Thursdays at 9am. Parents and parishioners are welcome to join.

Parent Involvement

We are excited to welcome parent volunteers back to our building. All visitors are required to sign in at Door 1 and must have completed the Safe Environment program prior to volunteering with our students. We strongly encourage all volunteers working with students to wear a mask. The Volunteer Opportunities form is included in this mailing and should be returned on the first day of school.

Health Precautions

Because the COVID-19 pandemic is not over, we must continue to take precautions when students and staff are sick. If your child has been exposed to COVID-19, your student will be required to quarantine. We will provide virtual education only in the case of quarantines. Please remember, if your child is sick, it is best to keep them at home until you are certain they are no longer contagious or that they do not have COVID-19. We are here to support all of our students, their families and our staff as we continue to ensure a high quality education while also providing a safe environment for all. Please work with us as we seek to do what is in the best interest of all.

Please see the attached useful information to determine when to keep your child home from school and how to quarantine should that be needed. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact the school office. We are here to help!
