Pam Foegen

Well we are at the end of our online school year and it is one that we will always remember.  Student mental health is just as important over the summer, but I would suggest you use this time to connect as a family instead of being teachers to your children.  Family and faith are the heart of what we do and being together doing activities and enjoying time together alsong with sharing your faith is a gift you all probably need.  For those of you returning to work make sure your children know what to do and spend time outside when possible.

Today is my last day in the Regis system.  I am retiring and feel so blessed to have worked with staff, students and you as parents.  My hope when I took this position and what I tell everyone that I hope in some way I made a positive difference in the Regis system.  I know I have grown spiritually and have tried to provide guidance for our student's mind, body and spirit.  Thank you for that opportunity.

Take Care and God Bless

As our patience gets closer to the edge, remember to take a break from being a teacher and remember to be a parent.  Articles have explained what things we need to do to help cope with the Covid 19 virus and now things are more confusing then ever.  I give you this thought from Winnie the Pooh:

"Today was a difficult day", said Pooh

There was a pause.

"Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet

"No"said Pooh after a bit.  "No, I don't think I do."

"That's okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend.

"What are you doing?" asked Pooh

"Nothing really," said Piglet.  "Only I know what difficult days are like.  I quite often don't feel like talking about it on my difficult days either.

"But goodness", continued Piglet, "Difficult days are so much easier when you know you've got someone there for you.  And I'll always be here for you Pooh."

And as Pooh sat there working through in head his difficult day, whle the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, wininging his little legs.....he thought that his best friend had never been more right."

A.A. Milne

Being that person for someone you care about and don't forget to have a friend like Piglet for the difficult days.
