Mrs. Mechelke has 19 years of experience within our system, having most recently served as the President of Regis Catholic Schools from July 2020 to September 2021. She is excited to return to continue her service to Catholic education.
Mrs. Mechelke earned her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership in July 2021; two Bachelor’s degrees in Regular Education and Special Education; and a Master’s degree with principal and director of instruction licenses. She has worked as a classroom teacher for Regis Catholic Schools and previously served six years as the Principal of St. James Elementary School, with five of those years spent also serving as the Principal of St. Mary’s Elementary School. In the past, Mrs. Mechelke has served as our Curriculum Coordinator, Central Office Supervisor, and most recently, as our President.
“Sharing my faith in everything I do is ingrained in my very being,” Mrs. Mechelke said. “I have missed that this year and feel blessed to return to the Regis system where I can teach, profess, and share my faith openly.” As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace. - 1 Peter 4:10
“I am excited to be able to serve for Regis again,” Mrs. Mechelke added.
Mrs. Mechelke is the proud mother of two boys who both attended Regis Catholic Schools from preschool through high school, as well as a step-daughter currently attending Regis High School.
Our current Principal of St. James Elementary School, Mrs. Jackie Lutz, will continue to work in Catholic education in a location that puts her closer to her family. We thank Mrs. Lutz for her dedicated service and wish her the best.
We ask you to please keep Mrs. Mechelke, Mrs. Lutz, and our entire Regis Catholic Schools system in your prayers during this time of transition.
