Mark Golden '83 Named New Advancement Director

Regis Catholic Schools is pleased to introduce Mark Golden '83 as our new Advancement Director.

Golden attended St. Patrick’s Grade School and is a proud graduate of Regis High School. He went on to attend Marian University and Lakeland University, graduating with Bachelor of Arts. He previously served as a third-generation Funeral Director, owning and operating the Golden Funeral Home with his father, Eugene “Geno” Golden. For the past 8 years he has been successful in Medical Device sales.

Golden and his extended family have been synonymous with Catholic schools, sports, and professional development for more than a half a century in Eau Claire. The Golden family has a rich tradition of St. Patrick's/Regis High School graduates, which include: siblings, Mike ’80, Anne ’82; father Geno ’54, aunts/uncles, Dr. Patrick ’51, Carol ’52, Tom ’53, Fred ’58, John ’61, Mary ’63, Marilyn ’63, and Kathy ’66.

Golden has been involved with Regis High School in different capacities over the years, including as a Regis Catholic Schools Auction committee member, Boys Summer Varsity Basketball Coach, and Boys Varsity Basketball Assistant Coach. He is also a member of the Eau Claire County Veterans Tribute Foundation, Inc. and volunteers for the Eau Claire Marathon.

"I am honored to be the next Advancement Director," Golden said. "Through my life experiences with Regis Catholic Schools, I truly believe in our Catholic education, which provides the highest quality programs possible. I look forward to continuing the proud tradition of Regis Catholic Schools!"

Golden is a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus-St. Patrick Parish in Eau Claire.

Golden replaces former Advancement Director Bill Uelmen who recently retired after 43 years with the Regis Catholic Schools system.
