Regis Catholic Schools is pleased to announce that Eric Nelson has been promoted internally from interim controller to controller effective July 1.
Eric’s experience with Regis Catholic Schools began in 2001 when he was hired as a teacher at Regis Middle School. He left for a short time, but returned to a religion and history teaching position at Regis High School. He holds a certification in school business management, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration and a Master’s Degree in history.
At the start of the 2019-20 academic year, Eric was split between his teaching duties and a new role as the assistant to the controller. In November, Eric assumed the role of an interim capacity.
Over the last several months, Eric has worked closely with our Regis Catholic Schools Finance Council. Eric’s work ethic, along with his collaboration with other controllers and business professionals, has helped him gain the requisite knowledge to handle the position in a professional manner. We are impressed with his attention to detail, compassion for future financial planning, and stability.
Eric is married to his wife Wendy, who is a high school teacher in the Elk Mound School District. His two children, Karah and Laura are students at Regis Middle School and Immaculate Conception Elementary School respectfully. Regis Catholic Schools welcomes Eric to his new position.
