Community Service Projects
Beginning in our Preschool programs and Kindergarten classrooms, continuing on at each grade level through their senior year at Regis, our Catholic school students continue to care for others by raising needed funds and offering hours of service in order to help our community, state and in many cases even helping our nation and international community. This has been a strong tradition of our Catholic schools and a theme that is proudly continued today. For example, this year our Catholic schools: Immaculate Conception Elementary, St. James Elementary, St. Mary’s Elementary, Regis Middle School and Regis High School have donated more than $30,000 to charities and aide initiatives that span from assisting our own neighborhoods to creating a new water well in Darfur. These funds come in all shapes and sizes, with our youngest students bringing in coins from their own “piggy banks” to other students sharing their allowances and high school students organizing various fund drives; we strive to help improve situations for others.
Beyond that, our Catholic school students offer many hours of service to further help our community. This year alone, our Pre K-12 students will reach out and lend a hand to others by giving more than 11,000 hours of their time. The above efforts and service that our Catholic school students donate significantly help the following organizations: St. Francis Food Pantry, Ronald McDonald House, Bolton Refuge House, Salvation Army, Harmony House, Building a Water Well in Darfur, Pennies for Peace, Walk for Life, Haiti Relief, Bolivian Missions, Toys for Tots, Big Brothers/Sisters, Catholic Charities, Community Table, Eau Claire Family Resource Center, Beacon House of Eau Claire, Feed My People Food Bank, Women's Health Research of Madison, Teaching CCD, Sunday School Childcare, Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, Church Choirs, Red Cross Blood Drive, Breast Cancer – Relay For Life, and the Humane Society of Eau Claire. Thank you to our students, staff, and families for working together to create a school community that goes beyond excelling in our classrooms, fine arts and athletic programs… continuing the legacy of strong Catholic schools by putting others before self.
