Colin Schumacher, a special-education teacher at the Earth School (P.S. 364) in Manhattan received a grant to build a rooftop rain garden to control rainwater and expand his class garden.

In May of 2011, Paul McSorley wrote a children's book titled The Adventures of Forealdo: Finding Millie. The book is published by Publish America. Paul is a 1978 graduate.
